Williams decade long journey with kidney disease was full of trials and tribulations. Diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 18, William's diabetes eventually lead to his diagnosed of kidney disease in 2013. After three years on dialysis William received a kidney transplant in 2017. Now, five years post-transplant, Kidney PLUGGED IN checks back in with William to see how he and his new kidney have been getting along.
How has having a second chance at a healthy life changed him? What adaptations has he had to make in his life as a post kidney transplant recipient? What has the new-found freedom of life post-dialysis meant to him?
